人工の光が闇を押し遣って、でも光が届く距離には限界があって、その限界を補うために次の光を置き、それでも闇は決して消え去ったりせずに歪に形を変えて狭まりながらもその場に留まり、球形に広がる光と押し退けられる闇とで、ビールの泡のように粒々とした構造がどこまでも続いていく。光に照らされた場所から次の光へと移動する一瞬、泡粒と泡粒の間に膜のように存在する闇を通り抜けるとき、「闇をそれほど恐れることはないよ」という声を聞いたような気もするけれど、それは聞こえなかったことにして光のある場所へと向かう。光が点在する夜。泡粒のような光。そこに寄り添う柔らかな闇。
The artificial light pushes the darkness away, but there is a limit to the distance the light can reach, and the next light is placed to compensate for that limit, but the darkness never disappears, but stays there, distorting and narrowing its shape. The structure continues forever, grainy like beer bubbles. In the moment of moving from one light to the next, passing through the darkness that exists like a film between the foam grains, I think I hear a voice saying, “Don't be so afraid of the darkness,” but I pretend I didn't hear it and head toward the place where the light is. A night dotted with light. Light like bubbles. The soft darkness that accompanies it.
